Nand Mulchandani - CEO & Co-Founder

Nand Mulchandani is the CEO and Co-Founder of ScaleXtreme. Prior to co-founding ScaleXtreme, Nand was an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at Accel Partners, where he started work on the company that became ScaleXtreme, in addition to working on projects in cloud computing, consumer internet, as well as advising a number of companies on product and growth strategies.

Prior to Accel, Nand was the CEO of OpenDNS, where he lead the company through a growth phase in DNS traffic, consumer router integrations, and the launch of enterprise products.

Prior to OpenDNS, Nand was the Senior Director of Product Management and Marketing at VMware, responsible for security strategy, product management, and security marketing. Nand was previously Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Determina Inc., which was acquired by VMware in August 2007. Prior to this role, Nand was the founding CEO of Determina where he lead the company from inception to early revenue stage.

Prior to Determina, Nand was co-founder and VP Product Management at Oblix (acquired by Oracle), where he helped guide the company to a leadership position in the Identity & Access Management market.

Prior to Oblix, Nand was at Sun Microsystems, working on compilers and optimization, including work on the first Java compilers.

Nand received a BA in Computer Science and Mathematics from Cornell University.

Balaji Srinivasa - CTO & Co-Founder

Balaji is the CTO and Co-Founder of ScaleXtreme, leading product architecture and engineering operations. Prior to co-founding ScaleXtreme, Balaji was an early member of the engineering team at Bladelogic, a leading configuration management company, where he was the Principal Product Architect. In this role, Balaji designed and architected the main product line for the company, Bladelogic Operations Manager. Bladelogic went public in 2005 and was subsequently acquired by BMC for $800M in 2007, and remains the core Datacenter Automation product line for BMC.

Prior to Bladelogic, Balaji worked in senior technical roles at Platinum Technology and Computer Associates, including Principal Software Engineer for the Platinum Enterprise Management Solution and Senior Product Architect for CA's eTrust Security Solutions.Earlier in his career, Balaji was Senior Software Engineer at CGI Systems, an IBM company.

Prior to CGI Systems, Balaji worked as a Software Consultant with Unisys, where he worked on manufacturing applications and systems management frameworks. He started his career in software as a Senior Software Engineer at Godrej & Boyce, one of the largest privately-held engineering and consumer products company in India, where he developed system utilities and application software for the IT department.

Balaji holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Regional Engineering College located in Surat, India.
